Year after year, the medical staff and healthcare professionals are recognized for quality by organizations such as J.D. Powers, HealthGrades, CareChex, and Consumer Reports.
Louisiana Heart Hospital was awarded the Patient Safety Excellence Award™ by Healthgrades in 2014. The award recognizes hospitals for how well a hospital prevents infections, medical errors, and other complications based on 13 standard patient safety indicators. Patients receiving care at Patient Safety Excellence Award recipient hospitals have, on average, a lower risk of experiencing patient safety events.
Louisiana Heart Hospital earned The Outstanding Patient Experience Award™ three years in a row (2013, 2014, and 2015) by Healthgrades. This award recognizes hospitals for providing outstanding patient experience based on 10 measures related to doctor and nurse communication, hospital cleanliness, and noise levels, and medication and post-discharge care instructions. The award is based on the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) patient survey data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
